The following Adult Faith Formation opportunities are being offered in our area:

1))I Have Loved You with an Everlasting Love,
Friday, August 27, 7:30 pm to Sunday, August 29 after lunch,
at St Benedict Center, 4 miles north of Schuyler on Hwy 15.
God has loved us into existence, and we are the Beloved of God. Our life is our little way to say 'thank you' to God. Come, learn simple spiritual practices that you can build into your day and connect with your everyday activities. They will lead you into the experience of God and deepen your relationship with our God of everlasting Love. Presenter is Darla Weisbeck, MSW. Cost is $60, plus cost of room and board. 2.)Sabbath: Resting in the Goodness of God,
(strong> Saturday, September 11, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, at St Benedict Center, 4 miles north of Schuyler on Hwy 15.
The best prayer is to rest in the goodness of God, knowing that goodness can reach down to our lowest depth of need. Sabbath time is time of paying attention to our relationship with God through silence, prayer and worship, of taking pleasure in the beauty of the earth, of visiting with friends and family, of feeding the soul, of listening and resting. Come and enjoy some time away from the "busyness" of life, the quiet, some creative ways of praying and resting in the presence of God and one another. Presenter will be Father Joe Nassal, CPPS. 3) Living with a Mary Heart in a Martha World,
Saturday, September 18, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, at St Benedict Center, 4 miles north of Schuyler on Hwy 15.
Both Mary and Martha in the New Testament show us something of ourselves. Like Mary, we long to sit at the Lord‘s feet, but the daily demands of a busy world just won‘t leave us alone. Like Martha, we love Jesus and really want to serve him. Yes, Mary and Martha are part of each one of us. Come and explore during this retreat, guided by Janna Weaver‘s book, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World, how you can live them both. Presenter is Sr Kathleen Courtney, OSB. 4) Focusing: Listening to the Body, Saturday, September 25, 9:00 am - noon, at Servite Center of Compassion, 7400 Military Ave, Omaha.
Focusing is a process of attending to one‘s deepest self with a nonjudgmental presence. Regular practice allows access to the wisdom of the body and a deep level of knowing that leads to inner transformation. This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in personal growth. 5) Compassionate Care Giving for Ourselves and Others,
second Friday of each month, September – November, 9:30 - 11:30 am, at Servite Center of Compassion, 7400 Military Ave, Omaha.
Have you discovered that you are neglecting yourself while struggling with caregiver responsibilities, work stresses, or relationship challenges? Although it may seem impossible to balance care for both ourselves and others, this series of workshops will provide the information, skills, and support needed to maximize your potential for self-nurturing, which enhances all of your interactions.
