How To Serve

Perpetual Adoration

Perpetual Adoration is in St. Patrick's Chapel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Come spend some time with Jesus in the Eucharist.

The spiritual benefits for our parish and for individuals who participate are tremendous and the effects of this devotion are far reaching.

Are you looking for a way to serve the Lord and your parish?

Our perpetual adoration leadership team is always looking for individuals or couples who would join us on the leadership team. We use assistant coordinators, a spiritual materials coordinator and six hourly coordinators.

They try to ensure that the weekly six-hour time frame is manned by at least 42 guardians. The assistant coordinators review the weekly time slots and look for those slots with only one guardian and alerts the divisional coordinators that they need to actively recruit others to consider serving in that time slot. The assistant leader identifies individuals who can serve as substitutes and forwards these individuals to the divisional leader to be added to the list. The assistant divisional leader is invited to attend the quarterly meetings designated to address the needs and concerns of the Pastor and guardians surrounding perpetual adoration.

The assistant leader actively promotes perpetual adoration throughout the parish and serves as a substitute for the guardians if need be.

The spiritual materials leader is responsible for overseeing the materials that are available for all guardians in the chapel. They make sure materials are available and up to date. They will recommend new materials to the Pastor and address the requests for materials from guardians. The leader will also review the area outside the chapel to ensure it is up to date and dated materials removed. The leader will review the board to see if anyone has placed a request for a sub and notify the appropriate divisional leader of the need for a substitute. The spiritual materials leader is invited to attend the quarterly meetings designated to address the needs and concerns of the Pastor and guardians surrounding perpetual adoration.

The leader actively promotes perpetual adoration throughout the parish by keeping the parish and organizations informed of perpetual adoration activities and serves as a substitute for the guardians if need be.

Finally, the six hourly coordinators. The hourly coordinators are responsible for making a monthly check-up call to all adorers assigned to their hour. The hourly coordinators should also contact the divisional coordinators with any concerns they receive from the phone calls they make. Each month those who are making the monthly phone calls should be asking the adorers if they would be interested in becoming hourly coordinators themselves. The hourly coordinators are the keys to successful adoration participation.
You may be asking yourself if this is a stewardship opportunity you should consider. I would simply say to take an hour and go to the adoration chapel and pray about accepting this call. Then if you are interested in joining our leadership team, call our parish office 721-6611.
