Maintenance Technician

EFFECTIVE DATE: February 1, 2023

POSITION STATUS: Hourly; Full-time $16-$20 per hour

Position Summary:

Perform various maintenance and custodial tasks for multiple buildings on our campuses. This will include our Churches (St. Patrick Fremont, St. Rose of Lima and St. Lawrence), Rectory, Parish Office, Archbishop Middle School/High School and Elementary School and others. This role will work to ensure the facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Duties to include, but not limited to, routine mechanical maintenance tasks as well as general custodial, maintenance, and facilitating set up and tear down for various Church and School events. As well as other duties as assigned. The ability to work cooperatively with different personalities and people in a school environment is required.

Requirements:

• Enthusiastic worker with an openness and desire to learn new skills.
• Flexibility in responding to day-to-day work requirements and a varied work schedule or assignments.
• Ability to follow policy and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with a team or independently with little direct supervision.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry items up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Troubleshooting, applying appropriate solutions, and following though to ensure completeness of work.
• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be Safe Environment Certified and background check completed through the Archdiocese of Omaha.
• Commitment to excellent service and teamwork.
• 1-3 years Maintenance or related experience is desired but not required.

Custodial Staff

EFFECTIVE DATE: April 2025
POSITION STATUS: Hourly; Full-Time or Part-Time, $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, focusing on routine cleaning and specialized maintenance tasks.

Duties:

● Perform general custodial tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.

● Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping to ensure a high-quality appearance and the safety of flooring surfaces.

● Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

● Carry out residential painting projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of facilities.

● Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces regularly.

● Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to uphold facility standards.

● Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are maintained according to established schedules and protocols. Skills

● Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and procedures.

● Proficiency in buffing techniques and floor care methods.

● Experience in residential painting is a plus.

● Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety protocols.

● Ability to perform custodial duties efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

● Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
