Maintenance Technician
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 2025
POSITION STATUS: Hourly; Full-time
Position Summary:
Perform various maintenance and custodial tasks for multiple buildings on our campuses. This will include our Churches (St. Patrick Fremont, St. Rose of Lima, and St. Lawrence), Rectory, Parish Office, Archbishop Middle School/High School and Elementary School and others. This role will work to ensure the facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Duties include, but are not limited to, routine mechanical maintenance tasks as well as general custodial, maintenance, and facilitating set up and tear down for various Church and School events. As well as other duties as assigned. The ability to work cooperatively with different personalities and people in a school environment is required.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic worker with an openness and desire to learn new skills.
- Flexibility in responding to day-to-day work requirements and a varied work schedule or assignments.
- Ability to follow policy and safety procedures.
- Ability to work with a team or independently with little direct supervision.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry items up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Troubleshooting, applying appropriate solutions, and following though to ensure completeness of work.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be Safe Environment Certified and background check completed through the Archdiocese of Omaha.
- Commitment to excellent service and teamwork.
- 1-3 years Maintenance or related experience is desired but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Hours of Work:
General schedule will be Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends required.
Early Childhood Education Center 4/5's Teacher
(4–5 Year Old Classroom)
Position Summary:
The 4/5's Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate educational environment for children ages 4 and 5. This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance and paid time off. The Teacher will implement structured lesson plans, support school readiness skills, and foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff while ensuring compliance with all state licensing regulations and organizational policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with early learning standards to promote growth in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Establish and maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Supervise children at all times and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Promote positive behaviors and guide children in developing social-emotional skills.
- Maintain accurate daily records, including attendance and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children’s progress, classroom activities, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure consistency and quality of care.
- Adhere to all applicable state licensing regulations, Early Learning Guidelines, and center policies.
- Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and classroom management strategies.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- No evenings or weekends required.
- The center is closed for most major holidays and scheduled staff professional development days.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and sitting on the floor with children.
- Ability to remain active and attentive throughout the workday.
